Ok so today was my last day of training! Thank whatever gods are out there! We were non-stop this whole damn shift! Transfers between hospitals is all we did. And loads of fatties on litters.
One mean ass nurse gave us a hard time, she claims us "transfer people" just drop the paitens anywhere and leave. Could be but it wasn't us (meaning my crew) If it was my company, she should have reported it, those peeps would have gotten canned. So she's giving me crap, I'm assuring her the patient is safe and sound (will you please sign my release paper??)my trainer guy just tells me to go and get another nurse. I do and we leave.
Now for the evil fun, our next and last run is for a very overweight old woman, 325 pounds. And guess where we are taking her to?, to bitch nurses floor! It gets even better when we realize this woman stinks. And I mean that horrid, cheesey, stinky sock smell that overweight people can get when they don't clean all their rolls properly. "Smirk" and the lady was very bitchy. Have fun with that one........you stupid cunt. Yeah I know she's probably had a bad day and bad expierences, but so have we........and I have the sore wrists to prove it.
End of today's rant.
By no means do I hate nurses! I love them! For the most part they are great, always helpful! They are usualy overworked and short staffed, but this one just hit me wrong, the nicest one on that floor was a poor lady who could barely walk, her back is shot. Bless her heart!

Glad that you are hanging in there and getting acustomed to the job. Best wishes for a great new week with no bad attitude nurses or stinky transfers.
I love nurses, when I'm on their good side, but they may be the only people who are, as a group, cattier than cops.
Most of the Nurses I've come into contact with have been very professional.
But every hospital, facility, ED, every PLACE has that one.
Hang in there Babe :)
My little sister is a nurse. I hate her guts. Always have.
LOL- Thanks guys:)
Dosen't have anything to do with being a nurse hater... just evil bad ass karma people! Wish I could transport my Lucy-fer boss to that heavy lady's bedside... she needs a shot of nasty smell to show her the odor of her heart....
yeaaaaaaaa on finishing training!!!
She's probably the nurse that's ading to the sepsis problem in the facility the surely exists. YAY on finishing training!!!!
Ew, stupid nurses. I work with some amazing nurses, but like Epi said, there's always that one.
I'm sure I'll see her again today, but this time I'll just smile wide and secretly wish c-diff on her;)
Ahhhh I was thinking C-diff would be the icing on the cake. That or a wound with psuedomonas or some other nasty smelling bacteria....Or a colostomy that doesn't fit right! Wow I am now feeling grateful to be in L&D. Although 300 is the new 200. folks are getting huge these days.
There is always one in the crowd. It never fails. I am glad you are just taking them with a grain of salt!
you totally have to tell us the first time you get called out because someone gets something stuck up there bum or a vacuum stuck on their wee wee
Promise me lol
Snow- I don't do ems calls....just take people to doc appt. etc. But that would be funny;)
gosh then you are no fun
