F*&#ed over a barrel and other fun stories!

First I'm feeling better......YAY! But my family is not, they caught it. :(

I did manage to survive the first 20 hours of work for this week....well sort of.
Here it goes.....
I swear our comm center is out to get us, or they just think we are super human. We have been running non-stop two days straight. We, meaning my partner and I. 17 runs in two days, umm hello??? There are other ambulette crews out there!! AND we had 4 hospice runs!!! Do you idiots think that MAYBE you could have the other crews who were sitting at the station help us out here?? We'd love to just freakin' breathe for a sec. Even the floor nurses were commenting on seeing us too much. Sometimes after those hospice runs we need to calm down and well shake it off. 2 of the hospice runs were bad, crying family members riding in the back with the patient. It does take a toll after a while. Especially on my partner. He takes it much harder then me, but again these folks were on the older side, so to me I could handle it better.

Now about my partner, don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have him. He's funny as hell, does the job and is stronger then me:) We make a good pair in my opinion. I being older have more life experienced, him being young gives us more "life". But after 10 hours I'm sometimes ready to strangle him;) He just needs to think before he speaks.......alot. More on that at a later time.

Well that's it for now......soon I'll have more pics to post, some from work as I'm getting used to my phone.

Have a great day!
