So I’m home from work again….thanks Mother Nature! Only bad thing is I don’t get paid for “snow days”. Oh well the money I’m saving from not buying cigarettes will even it all out come payday.
About my “quitting”, not going to bad as of this morning, I’m not completely off the damn things but I’m down more than ¾ of what I used to smoke. The trick is I’m only smoking these horrible home made cigs that my dad made, with a rolling machine and bag tobacco. They make my chest hurt and my stomach roll. So the joy is definitely gone from smoking, and I only use them when the urge is too strong. By the end of this week I should be smoke free! I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
But, if I’m cutting down to almost zip, why is it harder to breathe? Are my lungs trying to clean out? Did the cigs keep them open? Or is it the horrible weather we are having doing it? I’m not sick, just seems I need to cough more often. Weird.
I’m glad I’m trying now, this time next year I will be up to my eyeballs in wedding plans, since my youngest will be getting married in June 2009. AND my oldest will be graduating college in May 2009. Great planning eh?
I will survive. If anything I see a lot more blogs on the way:)

thanks for stopping by my blog. Keep up the good work on quitting. You won't regret it.
I am glad you came to visit my blog. like you said dieting and quitting smoking is a pain but we will both be better off after words.
Very true! I need to do both! Getting older makes things slower, but I have a plan so things look brighter!
You have a wonderful fun filled year ahead! Sounds like my 2006!
Take a deep breath.. you CAN now!
It's so hard! But I WILL DO IT this time:)....Breathing is actualy getting better, and my car doesn't stink as much. I'm waiting for a semi-warm day to go out and scrub the interior and make it smell nice again!
You go girl! I've been smoke free for 2 years-it was hard as hell but soooo worth it! Give it a few weeks and the breathing thing will get better. Plus, you'll be appalled at how it smells. Good luck!
